Rain by Eugene McNeil

I love the sound of rain as it comes down. In a pitter-patter of drops striking the ground all around. It amazes me to feel how cool the wetness is — or how it can be tantalizingly itchy when it falls in or on the wrong places. Rain? No sense of rules does this waterfall have. It literally just falls on and into everything and everyone. Not having a care about feelings or preparation. It comes downward little by little from drizzle to downpour. Each drop brings a small, new beginning of life, a wellspring of emotions. We lose sight of what matters the most in life. Forever missing the rain as it waters the Earth in its desolate places to produce the essential essence of life.
